Event Information

Event Timing

The race is on the 15th of March, registration will open at 8am and there will be a mass start at 9am for the 6 Hour and 10am for the 3 Hour. The 5km race will start at 11am, and the 2km at 11:15am.

Rogaine Team Size

You must be in a team of at least two people for the 3 and 6 Hour events.

Rogaine Timing and Scoring

The clock will start at the beginning of the race. Your team will record their visit to each checkpoint. If you decide to rest at a checkpoint, the clock doesn’t stop.

Post Race Meal

A post-race meal is included for all rogaine competitors. We'll have a team of volunteers ready to serve you a burger and drink while you're waiting for the prizegiving. There will also be food available to purchase for runners in the 2/5km events, and for spectators, cash only.

Spectators

Friends and family are welcome to come along to the event to cheer you on and take photos. For safety reasons supporters should not venture on course without checking with the organisers first. 

Minimum Compulsory Gear (3&6hr)

Individual (must be carried by each person)

• Thermal long-sleeved top - Merino or Polyprop

• Thermal hat and gloves

• Whistle

• Waterproof Jacket - (this must be seamed sealed, no windbreakers, plastic ponchos, puffer jackets)

• Food & water

Team (at least one of each per team)

• Compass 

• Maps (Provided)

• Cell Phone (Fully Charged)

Carrying a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is encouraged but not required. 

No compulsory gear is required for the 2/5km races, dress appropriately for the conditions.

Rogaine Gear Check

Your team may be asked to complete a gear check before or during the event, if you don’t have an item a penalty will be given to your team.

It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that their equipment is in good condition. However, the event organisers reserve the right to prevent participants from starting if they feel that the condition of their equipment poses a risk to themselves or others.
