Supporting the Motueka High School Adventure Racing Team

Crazy Kea Events is expanding, with a whole new area to explore!

The Gearshop Tasman Adventure Race is a 4, 8, and 12-hour adventure race run to support the Motueka High School Adventure Racing team. We are very excited to be able to showcase an area of the country where we haven't been before. Although many might be familiar with Kaiteriteri as a holiday destination we'll be taking you to some less visited parts!

The courses on offer cater to all abilities, with the navigation and terrain difficulty increasing as the duration gets longer.

Event Timing

See the table below for the expected finish times of the winners and "average" teams, as well as course closure times for each event. There will be short course options to ensure teams are able to finish within the time limits listed. Teams that finish after the course closure time will be penalised a number of points per minute that they are late.
